Individualized assessments are available for children ages 16 year of age and up. In addition to trauma related assessments (e.g., concussion or head trauma), specialized evaluations to assist with academic placement or decision-making are available.  Younger children who have suffered from possible concussion may also be seen for concussion screening, as appropriate.
It is imperative that children be given the opportunity to succeed, and the process starts with a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment to determine the presence or extent of any  learning disability, ADHD, or other hindrance to learning.
The information from such a comprehensive exam will be used to design a treatment plan, assist with an academic program, define specific academic accommodations, or provide guidance before medication and treatment options are introduced.
